A feldspar mine specializes in the production of feldspar powder for ceramics. In 2022, it faced double dilemmas: the tailing and material carrying rate of traditional iron removers was as high as 5%, resulting in an annual loss of about 1,200 tons of feldspar raw materials. Calculated at 800 yuan per ton, the annual loss reached 960,000 yuan; at the same time, the iron content of products was 0.2%, which could not meet the raw material requirements of high-end ceramic enterprises, leading to serious customer loss. In May 2023, the enterprise introduced the YCG series permanent magnet suspended automatic iron remover, and optimized the magnetic circuit layout according to the characteristics of feldspar powder.
The equipment adopts a four-stage gradient magnetic field design, with the magnetic field strength gradually increasing from 7,000 Gauss to 10,000 Gauss, realizing full-process coverage from rough removal to fine removal. It not only reduced the tailing and material carrying rate to below 0.5%, reducing material loss by 1,140 tons annually and directly saving costs of about 912,000 yuan, but also stably controlled the iron content of feldspar powder at 0.09%, meeting the high-quality raw material standards of high-end ceramic enterprises. After the product quality upgrade, the enterprise successfully entered the supply chain system of 3 well-known ceramic enterprises. The customer repurchase rate increased from 70% to 90%, and the sales volume in 2024 increased by 42% year-on-year. The automatic iron cleaning function of the equipment also shortened the weekly maintenance time from 8 hours to 1 hour, significantly improving the operation and maintenance efficiency.
